Tiger, Mickelson commit to play next week at Torrey Pines

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have both annouced that they will play next week at Torrey Pines for the Farmers insurance open. Tiger and Phil are ranked 2nd and 4th respectively in the world golf rankings. This will be the first time in 30 months that Tiger will be back at Torrey Pines after he won the 2008 US Open when he defeated Rocco Mediate in an 18 hole playoff, while he was going through all the pain from his bad leg.

Scottish golfer banned from Euro Tour for rules breach

Scottish golfer named Elliot Saltman has been banned from the European Tour for 3 months because he marked his mark incorrectly in a tournament last year. The incident happened during the Russian Challenge Cup in Moscow on Sept 16th. Elliot is the first professional golfer to be banned from the European tour for 10 years.

Tiger Woods set to tee off in San Diego

Tiger Woods will start off his 2011 season at the farmers insurance open. Tiger Officially entered the tournament on wednesday. On wednesday Tiger tweeted “I’ve been working hard on my game, it’s game time hooah!!”

Staal, Lidstrom named NHL all-star game captains

Eric Staal the captain of the Carolina Hurricanes and Nicholas Lidstrom who plays for the Detroit Redwings have been named the Captains of the 2011 NHL all-star game. The two players will select players in the NHL they feel are appropriate to play in the NHL all-star game, which has been a huge flop in the past years. The 2011 All-star game takes place in Raleigh, North Carolina on January 29th, 2011.

Concussed Crosby improving, could miss all-star game

Pittsburgh Penguins Captain Sydney Crosby is currently suffering from a concussion, he has been out for 6 games already, and doesn't know when he will be able to resume practicing. Crosby is the NHL's Leading scorer even though he has been out for 2 weeks. “It’s kind of hard to judge because it’s not something I’ve gone through before,” said Crosby, who was scheduled to sit out the Red Wings-Penguins game on Tuesday night. “I’m progressing. It’s on and off. ... Some days you feel good, you feel like you’ve made progress. Some days are a bit tougher.” This is the first concussion Sydney Crosby has ever had in his 23 year hockey career.

Apple again turns to Cook in CEO Jobs’ absence

Once again apple has announced that Tim Cook will be the CEO of Apple. Steve Jobs the past CEO of Apple who introduced the ipod, iphone, and ipad, had liver surgery a couple years ago, and steve will once again be away for a long time. Making Tim Cook the CEO of apple for a long time possibly permanently. Steve will still over look any major decisions Apple will make while he's away.
