Magazine Cover #1

This is the Cover for my first magazine cover for golf digest. For me to make this I made the golfer the background(base). Then I added images such as the Ryder cup, the tour championship and a picture of tiger woods with a circle and a cross, symbolizing that he still hasn't been the same since the incident on American thanksgiving, and that for the incident with the cocktail waitresses he has lost a lot of respect from many golf fans. All these images will have an article about them inside of the magazine. Finally, I put phrases on the right hand side of different articles that will be inside the magazine as well, such as; who will win the fed ex cup, A Ryder Cup preview between the USA and EUROPE, also an article on the captains picks for both teams and weather or not they were good choices.

Microphones: The Proximity Effect

In this video, the man talks about different microphones, what they are use full for, and how to get the best sound out of them. First he talks about the microphone on a video camera, he mentioned that this microphone sounded OK from a far distance, but the closer you got to the subject with the camera, the better the quality of the sound, sounded. Secondly they spoke about a handheld microphone which would give you the best sound, but was the most expensive and would get the best sound result from a few inches away from your mouth. Third was the lavalier microphone which is a microphone that attaches to someones shirt,  this is a good option for people who are not doing very much movement and did not want to spend too much money. Finally was the shotgun microphone which was mainly for the person who could not have a microphone on the set. The way this microphone works is it attaches onto the top of the video camera you are you using for the filming.

Saw Franchise Creates Major "Buzz"

The ever so famous horror film series "saw", once started as a seven minute film that took place in a disgusting washroom. However the series has now become one of the most well known and popular horror film series' thats made over one billion dollars in both the worldwide box office and and DVD sales. Ever since the very first Saw film came out, the audience's have loved it and continued watching and buying each and every Saw series film to be released. I am not much of a horror film fan myself, but based on the reviews and the amount of money its made over the years, if you are a fan of horror films and have not seen any of the saw series, I highly suggest going out and renting the movie!
