2011 Winter Classic

This year the 2011 NHL winter classic will be held in Pittsburgh. The event will take place at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, which is where their football team plays. The game will take place on January 1st, 2011 and will feature the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. The Washington Capitals. This years winter classic has two of the top players in the NHL in this game, Alexander Ovechkin and Sydney Crosby.

This picture is a birds eye view of a hallway. The lights that appear in the middle of the picture appear to be the main focus in the image.

This picture is taken face on and the main view of the picture is the mountains in the background, but your eyes are attracted to the hockey player and net.

This is picture of someone breaking through the snow, uses a camera angle looking up at the person and the main focus of this picture is the snow blasting all over the place.

This picture shows the Giants players rushing to the mound after they won the world series in 2010. This picture shows movement as the players are all jumping and you can tell they are running towards the pitcher. There is also lots of simplicity in this picture because the players are the main focus of the picture, meanwhile there is lots going on in the background.

This is a picture of a Texas Rangers player in the MLB playoffs. In this picture the camera man uses a face-on view and its slightly looking down at the player. Also in this picture it appears that the player is moving towards the camera

In this picture there is two players one from NJ and one from Buffalo fighting. The camera man used a viewpoint from the side of fight so you can see the whole fight. This picture also produces a frame, because it shows where they are in the fight.

Time Person of the Year: Mark Zuckerberg

Yesterday, the times person of the year was announced, the time person of the year, is Mark Zuckerberg the founder and creator of Facebook. Mark is only 26 years old and is the youngest person to win the award since 1927. Since Mark invented Facebook, he is the world youngest billionaire and currently has over 500 million users on his Facebook website.

Zeitgeist 2010: Year in Review

In this video Zeitgeist 2010: Year in Review, they showed a lot of major events that happened in 2010, such as Sidney Crosby scoring the winning goal in the gold medal game at the Vancouver Olympics, Graeme McDowell winning the U.S. Open, the San Francisco Giants winning the 2010 World Series, Spain winning the World Cup, In South Africa, Justin Bieber helping out under privileged children any many more events.

The Year 2010 Flew by; hope 2011 goes the same way, and has more good things in store for us in the up coming year!

Rims tablet to cost under $500

Jim Balsillie, the president of the blackberry, announced in the middle of November that the tablet that RIM is coming out with will be less then $500 and will be released in the first quarter of 2011. RIMS shares went up $3.15 when they announced the Blackberry Playbook and the price of the item.

2011 Sony open in 3D

The 2011 Sony open in Hawaii at the beginning of January will be aired in 3D. There will be 4 holes during the tournament aired in 3D, two of these holes are 17 and 18 the two finishing holes. Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman, CEO and President, Sony Corporation said,"We are very excited to be able to capture the 2011 Sony Open in Hawaii using Sony's state-of-the-art 3D professional cameras, and to deliver these images into viewers' living rooms in live 3D," "By offering the unprecedented experience of immersive, live 3D images conveying the excitement and beauty of the Sony Open in Hawaii, we aim to further enhance the enjoyment of 3D entertainment in the home."

Tim Hortans accept debit

As of November 23rd, 2010, the Tim Hortans franchise will now accept debit cards at most locations. In the article they mentioned that tims now accepting debit will not cause any slow downs, when they are purchasing their products and it will also not effect customer security. The interac president and CEO Mark O'Connell said, "With Tim Hortons' expansion of Interac debit acceptance, customers will no longer need to worry if they have cash in-pocket when they buy their morning coffee, breakfast wraps for the kids after hockey practice or doughnuts for the office," Interac president and CEO Mark O'Connell.

1 million kinects in 10 days

Microsoft reported that they have sold 1 million kinect systems in 10 days, and they are on pace to sell 5 million, by the end of the year. Kinect is only available for xbox 360, this device allows consumers to play xbox without using any controllers, this also allows them to be active. The Kinect was released on Nov. 4th and retails for about $150 Canadian.

Toronto wins 2 straight

The Toronto Maple leafs have won 2 games straight, they won their first game vs, The Boston bruins in a shootout, and then they won their second game in a row Monday vs the Washington capitals once again in a shootout.... the leafs a couple more tough games coming up, vs Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh penguins. there second tough game is again the Philadelphia flyers at home in Toronto.

Rickie Fowler: PGA Tour Rookie of the year

Rickie Fowler was elected as the PGA tour rookie of the year over, Northern Ireland's, Rory Mcilroy. Rickie, did not win on the PGA tour in 2010, but he had several, top 10's and a couple runner up finishes. Rory who won on the pga tour in 2010, had 2 top 3 finishes in the major and was apart of the winning Ryder cup team. Rory had been a pro on the European tour since he was 18 years old, now 21. Rory said that he thinks Rickie is more deserving then him, because Rickie is a true Rookie on tour as he was in College this time last year at OSU.

Tiger Looses in Playoff

On Sunday, Tiger Woods has playing his final event of the year at the Chevron World challenge in California. Tiger had 3 solid rounds in the 60's during the first three rounds and had a four shot lead going into the final round. Tiger was in the final group on Sunday paired up with Graeme McDowell from Northern Ireland. Tiger ended up having a very poor say and it seemed that the golf gods had covered the hole because none of his putts were falling. On the other had Graeme had a great round, making a clutch 30ft putt on the 18th hole to force a playoff. In the playoff, Tiger hit his approach to 15ft and Graeme hit is approach to the exact same place as he did on the final hole of regulation. Graeme putted first and made the 30 footer for birdie, Tiger putted next and once again lipped out on his 15ft putt for birdie.

This was Tigers final event of the year, and went all season without a victory on tour.
